Raccoon in a dumpster. Girlfriend's place of employment has raccoons caught in the dumpster like clockwork every Friday (pickup is Thursday night and no amount of effort will get the company to latch it.) She usually puts a board in and lets them climb out at their leisure. One has been sleeping in the corner all day and won't move even when prodded. Is he just being nocturnal, or does he need medical attention? (Animal control hasn't returned her call and she's worried for him).

Skunkfilter - any experiences in keeping skunks away? Our lovely new home seems to have some tasty bugs in the lawn, and skunks dig 'em up at night. Sometimes the neighbor dogs scare them, and they spray (ever been awoken in the middle of the night by a noxious odor)? I've seen suggestions online for Fox urine, hot pepper, mothballs, etc. Anyone know one that works reliably?

Skunkfilter: Ewww. There's a skunk under my office (which is in a trailer-house). It stinks. How do I get rid of the thing? When I've done that, how do I get rid of the stench? (Or will it just go away in time?) Lord, this is nasty.
