Need a music player that won't make me tear my hair out.

Are there any music programs for Android that can also sync with my desktop that make listening to music and managing my library more of a pleasure and less of a frustrating chore? I've tried doubleTwist, Spotify, Winamp and Windows Music Player, all of which have major drawbacks and seem worse than iTunes, which also sucked, but not as bad as the Android ones do. [more inside]

Ring ring BUZZZZZZ

I'm looking for an android sound profile app that won't crash my phone. Ideally, I would be able to create a profile that had my alarm and ringer at full volume while disabling all other sounds. The last one I tried made my phone run really slowly and freeze intermittently, and a few of the other ones I've looked at don't seem to distinguish between notification types - I need the alarm to be a different control from email alerts and stuff. I'd really appreciate a recommendation! My googling has failed. Thanks in advance, MetaFilters.

Now you see it... now you swear!

When trying to read a Sandisk 16Gb Class 2 Micro SD card (on my Win7 PC through a USB reader) it will show up briefly but as soon as I try to copy any files the drive itself will disappear, meaning I can't save any of the data (or pics) from it, so I'm looking for a way to keep the drive visible to my PC so I can save the data. (The card comes from my Android HTC Desire HD which randomly dismounted itself this morning and now reports itself as 'damaged' in the phone). Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance!

Android --> iPhone

Awaiting delivery of my iPhone 4S and then I will be switching from Android. What do I need to know to make the switch smoothly? Since this will be the first iPhone I've ever really played with at all, are there any tips/tricks for new users that will help me get up and running faster? I know that which apps are considered "have to's" depends a lot on what you are into, but are there any particular apps that I should be looking at first to help get me started? What do you wish you'd known as you set up your first iPhone/Apple product?
