I am getting a Tablet for work, either a Nexus 10 or an iPad. I'm pretty well versed on the features and drawbacks for both, and I feel like if my other devices were either all Apple or all Google/Windows I'd make the choice based on matching my current device operating system ecosystem. BUT right now, each device I use has a different OS, so is there a better device to match my tablet operating system with?

I'm back in the web software development world after about 7 years selling already developed software. Mobile software development barely existed the last time I talked to a client about development projects. I understand the web side of things just fine still. Mobile I'm clueless on.
Is there a good book or maybe website(s) that will help get me up to speed, and stay there? I'm running sales, so I'm not going to be writing any code.

After a demonstration with Facetime, my dad would like to regularly video chat with his grandson. Grandson owns an iPad 2. I've tried to talk Dad into buying an iPad too but he's attracted to the lower price of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1.

iPhone user; I've experimented with exercise logging apps such as MapMyRide+, Cyclemeter and Fitocracy (most of my exercise is cycling-oriented, but I'm also looking at Kinect exercise games and, potentially, weightlifting). Is there a good combo app that logs both exercise
and food intake? Or one site that could possibly accept input/imports from both?

I want some immersive, RPG-style games for Android or iOS. I'm taking a long flight on Friday and I want to sink myself into something fun. I was really hoping Baldur's Gate would be out for iPad before my flight, but it looks like it's been pushed back to next week. I'd like something in the same vein. Preferably something without cutesy, cartoony or 8-bit style graphics.

Help me get my Web 2.x (or are we on 3.x now? I've lost track) on. I'm an old-school Web 1.0 developer who wants to kickstart himself into slightly more modern UI and user experience paradigms, and I have a project in mind (of course). The challenge? No expensive tools.

I just got a Samsung Stratosphere LTE, my first smartphone and first Android device. I'm not looking to use it as a mini computer (i have an iPad for that) but I am interested in how to best use it as a phone and what capabilities or apps are available that don't have an iOS equivalent or work better than their counterparts. What super-neat abilities does a Stratosphere have that might not be immediately apparent?
