I'm interested in having a requester account with amazon turk.
I live in Canada...But I am physically close to the US border.
Can anyone tell me of an acceptable workaround to accomplish this?
I've considered driving to the US to open an account but I don't want to do that unless I know for sure it will allow me to run a requester account.

I am not in Canadabut I have a credit card loaded with 75 Canadian dollars. What is the smartest way to buy something in canadian dollars off of Amazon (amazon.ca)? I will need any purchase shipped to the U.S.. Will there be crazy unforeseen delivery charges buying through amazon.ca? Is there a way to get this money onto my amazon.com account as credit? Is there some other smart way to spend Canadian dollars while living in the u.s.? Is there some way to get it transferred through the credit card company to an account of mine? The card says it is only for electronic use. [more inside]

I'm in Canada and planning on buying a kindle, and am currently deciding whether I should buy a Kindle 3G, or stick with the Wi-fi only model. I'd like to use it at the cottage, where there is no Internet Access, but (not-so-great) 3G coverage. It seems like there are some restrictions on international kindles that don't exist in the U.S. [more inside]
