How can I to Amazon to ship to my door? Amazon always used to ship UPS which delivered right to my door. I'm in a rural area, 7 miles from the post office. Lately, they ship via USPS which does not deliver to my door but to a roadside box half a mile from my door. [more inside]

I'm trying to figure out how to create a XML / RSS feed of my Amazon web store products so I can update to Google Merchant.
There doesn't seem to be many functions / plug-ins offered by AWS and their help isn't very helpful.
I've done a fair amount of searching and have come up empty handed.
Would anyone have an idea how I might go about creating this feed?

Help me spend my $100 Mechanical Turk credit !?! I have about $100 credit with Amazon's MT system and I haven't used the service for about a year. I just don't need it for anything. If you know what Mechanical Turk is (see here or here if not) please tell me how you would blow through $100 just for fun (or good use or charity or save-the-planet, etc.)

I want to put some code on my site (Wordpress) displaying images of books and other Amazon products, and link the images, with my Associates key, back to Amazon.
Amazon offers several ways to do this. I don't like them. A batch of WP plugins offer to do this, but the ones I've tested are all overkill, if they actually work.
I can handle the code, but where do I get the images? I've seen a few sites that pull book cover images from a secure image site at Amazon. How does that work?

Is there a pared down, simplified version of amazon.com available anywhere? Right now whenever I go there I'm irritated by the fact that 90% of every page is noise. I want to browse, search and generally shop, and I don't mind 'stuff other people who bought this bought' and reviews, but I don't want to see a huge long page with all this other stuff on it.

Social Media Retail filter: I'm trying to find examples of "best in show" social retail sites. Think "Facebook" meets "hot or not" but for rating apparel and house/home goods (for example). Bonus points if they offer the ability to follow particular users that have a good eye for style/trends that you find appealing, similar functionality to how you follow a user's feed on Twitter. When I was 12, I did a good number of product reviews on Amazon. 10 years later, I'm embarrassed that someone might find my glowing reviews of (ugh) Eminem and Smash Mouth. I want to delete that Amazon profile (and subsequently all of the reviews), but I don't have the e-mail or password for that account--I wrote those back in the 28.8kbps dial-up days. NO RECOLLECTION WHATSOEVER. What can I do to get that account deleted? [more inside]

OK, hypothetical situation: you've spent a long time building a huge collection of electronic music CDs (several thousand.) Some of them are "rare" and most of them are "meaningful" but now that you've moved to beatport, torrents & all digital files, real CDs just don't have the same value to you that they used to. And for that matter, there's probably very few albums you couldn't find again if you spent a little time.
At what point do you finally say, "I no longer need dozens of boxes filled with CDs I used to love?" I just reached that point myself. It's time to purge ... but I don't know how to do it! [more inside]

I have a three person Mac OS X office where we need to have remote access to about 4GB of files. I have looked around extensively for a solution and so far have not found an acceptable one. We have tried to use Back to my Mac and Apple Remote Desktop but the other two users are not that technically adept and it seem too complicated for them. Out problem is further complicated by the fact that we sometimes access the same files, so we can have version problems as well. Back to my Mac has never worked period.
Could I use Amazon S3 storage? And manage with Subversion or Git? Are there reasonable clients for Subversion and Git. Drobo with network card seem over the top and too costly.
Having the files on the cloud would be a perfect solution, however a local solution that could be accessed from anywhere will work as well.
To further complicate we are thinking of having one person access via PC.
