Synonyms for the feeling after an all-nighter.

What's another word for the feeling you get after an all-nighter? It's not euphoria, giddiness, silliness, or simply high.. (Too many all-nighters have screwed with my memory recall.)

Interpol in Berlin! One night only!

I'm going to Berlin to see the band Interpol later this month (yay!) but only for one night (boo!). What should I see/do/eat/drink/experience in such a short time? And should I stay out all night long and skip out on lodging? I'm young and fancy-free, but I don't speak a lick of German (yet!) and I'd want to keep the budget on this side of sensible.

I'll probably be by myself, though there's an outside chance I'll be with a friend from work. I'm flying in from Riga, Latvia and arriving at Schoenefeld airport at 14:00 on Saturday, November 17, so no jet lag to speak of, hopefully. The concert, at Columbiahalle near Tempelhof airport, starts at 20:00, presumably ends a few hours later, and my flight out is at 12:30 the next day, again from Schoenefeld.

Because I'm only going for a night, I'm not convinced I'll have any luggage aside from a camera, a map, and a transit pass of some kind, so I'll be mobile enough to scoot around a lot, if that matters. On this trip, I'll be putting a higher value on seeing a lot of cool stuff in a short time than having Deep and Meaningful Experiences for hours and hours in one particular place.

In essence, it's tough to tell where to concentrate my time on such a short visit. The dome of the Reichstag by night, or by day, or not at all, or some other dome? Exploring Turkish neighborhoods in Kreuzberg, or avant-garde art and theatre in squatter-filled blocks of flats? Or all of those places? Or none of them?

Thanks!

Help Me Stay Awa-zzzzz

I need to stay awake in a relatively non-stimulating environment, after not having slept in over 30 hours. Anyone know any tips? OK, so I'm a college student, and I find myself in the fairly stereotypical predicament of having just finished pulling an all-nighter (I've been up since 8:00 yesterday) to finish a paper due in a couple hours. That was the easy part. The hard part will be getting through today without falling asleep. I need to stay awake until 5:00 (in about 9 hours) while sitting through some small classes that I can't sleep in because I am expected to participate/the professor would notice, as well as going to my semi-supervised, fairly monotonous, and detail-oriented work-study job. Caffeine and/or other such stimulants are not an option, seeing as they trigger heart palpitations. Last time I did this, I ended up falling asleep around noon, in class, and I don't want that to happen again. What can I do to stay awake and alert, at least until 5:00?
