I haven't flown in quite a long time, so I'm not familiar with all the latest security procedures here in the U.S. In a couple months my family will be taking a trip and I'm not comfortable with my children being scanned or touched. What are my options (other than not flying)?

I flew back to the states from Istanbul yesterday and was detained briefly after my name apparently triggered a security warning. My question is, how do I find out what kind of warning is being issued. I assume it was the Turkish governments watch list because after sometime had passed, the authorities came over, returned my passport and told me they had called a US govt agency and I was free to board the plane.

I'm flying next month and will have to go through a full body scanner for the first time. I'm not comfortable with this
at all. I'm so not ok with the scanner that I'm considering driving 17 hours instead. I know that I can request a patdown, but will this subject me to any additional hassling or questioning by the TSA / airport security?

I am a Canadian citizen and UK work permit holder, and was fingerprinted entering the UK at Heathrow airport last week. Is this something I should bother complaining about, and if so, then who should I be contacting?

Will they take my watch away at the airport? It is digital Casio Pathfinder with a barometer, thermometer, compass, and altimeter. I'm flying in about 6 hours, and I really don't want to lose my watch, but I want to take it with me.

I hold a UK passport. It now contains a US (C1/D) visa. Due to a clerical error during the application, the visa lists my sex incorrectly. Is this going to be a problem in the event that I actually need to travel to the USA?
