Though I've been working with web development since the 90's, I have a hands-on knowledge gap when it comes to internet marketing techniques like SEO, Adwords, analytics and the like. What are the best sources, free or paid, to learn more? I've been looking around for good resources, but it looks like this field is dominated by crooks. Any recommendations of books and sites written by reputable professionals is appreciated. I'm also a big fan of video lectures, if you know of any.

This weekend I increased my wife's and my dropbox capacities to 18.25 GB each using referrals culled from Google Adwords placements as outlined in this
Lifehacker article. Didn't spend anything as I had a $100 coupon for Adwords laying around. Apparently they are also testing photo/video upload with a promise of earning additional free space. What other referral based opportunities might I be unaware of that this strategy might prove effective with?

An outside partner I've allowed non-admin access to my Google Analytics account wants to connect its AdWords account to my Google Analytics account. I don't currently use AdWords, but it's a future possibility. What are the ramifications of allowing them to do this? Will it affect my own ability to connect my own or other AdWords accounts to GA in the future? Will that linkage affect my own reporting?

I'm been using both Google Adwords and a Facebook ad to promote an new album, but I think I'm using weak "keywords". Could I get the Metafilter community to look at a few no budget videos I've made to help me figure out "better" keywords to advertise my music? Or am I just wasting my money?

If I suddenly posted something on my website that I knew would get a ton of traffic, what would be the best way to, literally, capitalize on that traffic? If lightning struck, who would I call/partner with to make sure I got the maximum $$ possible out of all those eyeballs? Assume "selling out to the Man" would not be a concern, and further assume I would have very little time to arrange whatever the answer is. Also, assume the new higher traffic would be short-lived, a few weeks at most.
