Let's assume you are a 50-ish Lady who's wardrobe has diminished lately. What you you wear to a nice summer outdoor wedding when you don't own a lot of formal stuff and want to sharpen up your wardrobe from office-drab anyway? Where can you find these things? What places should you look? Whom should you listen to for advice? In short, what do stylish Over-50 Ladies wear to their various traditional and non family events on a budget? Ideally in New York?

I'm 6 feet tall, solidly built, in my early twenties, and I have an ankle-length black leather trenchcoat. It's swishy and sleek, with a button closure (no belt), like
this one (it may be the same coat). I got this coat after pining for it in high school for years, and went through a wearing-black Matrix phase with sunglasses and the whole deal. Now I have a girlfriend and some perspective, and I'm more likely to wear pullover sweaters.

My s.o. and I are at a crossroads. We are both architects and are hoping to start a fashion/design company that will be able to sustain our incomes (at least partially). We have product, we have a website, we have customers. What we are looking for are good books/websites/opinions on how to proceed out of our day-to-day jobs and into our own billing/taxes/sustainability models. We are open to "get a lawyer" responses, but are really looking to get our heads around some business concepts. Any sources that you have found helpful?

I'm a big fan of the British version of What Not to Wear. I've been watching it for years. Trinny, one of the presenters, has always worn dresses over pants. I always thought it was one of those things only she could pull off, but in a recent episode, she tried that look on someone who is built very similar to me (tall, wide hips, narrow shoulders), and it really worked. I tried on one version of this in a dressing room this weekend, and I think it's a look that could really work for me, but I'm having trouble working out what type of dress will work the best. I think I get the type of pants that work best (flat-front without any bulky details around the waist, flared leg, etc.), but the dress part... I can't quite imagine it. Any ideas? I'm 35, so I don't want to look like a trendy little girl. You know, like
