Books like The Game, except completely different in every way

A male friend of mine has recently learned that he's not as good at dating women as he thought he was, and wants to get better. Where can I point him for sex and relationship advice, addressed to men, but written from a feminist perspective? [more inside]

Can I be Dorothy Parker 2.0?

I want to be a sharper, wittier writer and conversationalist like the O.G. Dorothy Parker or, hey, even Coketalk. I admire funny, confident women, and while I think I'm moderately funny in person (years of low self-esteem will do wonders for your self-deprecating humor skills once you come out of it, go figure), I'd like to beef it up a bit, as well as learn how to express that more in my writing. Help me become employed in NYC - Preferably in Publishing

I'm in an unusual situation and it's proving extremely difficult to change things. Short version: I've been out of work for five years mostly due to severe depression, anxiety, and an abusive relationship, and have been trying to establish myself since recovering with no luck. I'm a bookworm with a degree who seeks an entry-level publishing position, but will take other (hopefully related, but not an absolute requirement right now) positions in the interest of establishing a recent job history for myself. when your on your own...

My s.o. and I are at a crossroads. We are both architects and are hoping to start a fashion/design company that will be able to sustain our incomes (at least partially). We have product, we have a website, we have customers. What we are looking for are good books/websites/opinions on how to proceed out of our day-to-day jobs and into our own billing/taxes/sustainability models. We are open to "get a lawyer" responses, but are really looking to get our heads around some business concepts. Any sources that you have found helpful? [more inside]
