I'm looking for a list of charities that do not spend any of their budget on advertising. Is there a directory of them somewhere? I'm in the UK, but that's more of a starting off point; deserving non-advertising charities elsewhere, or lists of them, would be just as good.

Few years ago, an ad ... maybe using the "Mad World" song from Donnie Darko (no, not the GoW spot of late)
Black/white shot from overhead, showed kids playing, forming pictures with their bodies... maybe it was for a car? [more inside]

At the height of the "earn money viewing ads" craze there was a (PC-only) program that hacked the VGA driver, in Windows I think, to add a few extra lines in which to display ads. This would still give you, say, 640x480 for normal stuff with 20 or so lines added
for an ad bar that went across the top or bottom of the screen. Does anyone have any pointers to information about it that survives on the Web?

Where can I find a (preferably downloadable) online copy of a recent TV commercial advertising a nuclear power company? I saw the ad all summer on CNN (United States) and I'm not sure if they're still running. The ad is a quirky animated piece showing the step-by-step process of nuclear energy, from mining to usage. It's presented in a 3D isometric perspective, similar to eboy/pixel art.
I'd like to present it to a class I'm teaching, as the ad style liberally borrows from a Royksopp music video from a few years back. Thanks!

A few friends have started a Go Club at our school (we meet weekly, and we want to raise attendance at these meetings). We've introduced a fair number of people to the game personally, but now we're looking to introduce the general public (university and otherwise) to the game and club. I think flyering is the obvious first step, and I'm looking for advice on that and other promotional tips. [more inside]

In Toronto, on the southeast corner of Bloor and Avenue Road/Queens Park, there's a Stella Artois/TIFF ad on a billboard that reads "Edited to perfection," with the image of a knife smoothing out the head of the beer. Anyone know which agency created the ad and/or how I would go about getting a copy (smaller, of course)?
