I'm looking for a print advertisement for Clinique Happy perfume from the (I think) late 90s. It features a beefy football player and an extraordinarily thin woman holding a cake. Can you direct me to a copy? [more inside]

I have become addicted to a certain website (RSS feed actually) that makes snarky criticism about major advertising campaigns. Can you recommend other similar blogs? Everytime I google for keywords based on their domain I get (nonsurpirsingly) very spammy results. [more inside]

I am trying to find inspiration graphics for a piece I want to create. I know I have seen what I am looking for sometime in my life.
The piece I am creating is for a mythical toy that is a disc shaped flying object. I want to make it in the guise of a 1930's or 1940's advertisement.
A boys face in wonder
A splashy graphical font across the top
The disc "comin' at ya" with wind sweeps trailing back
All in bold primary colors.
I have scoured the web for some source material, but keep coming up empty handed. Any pointers would be appreciated.

I'm looking for a intelligent (i.e. successful) way to advertise a new blog about baseball. We just started up and I want to increase readership but want to avoid scammy blog ad techniques that don't work.

Recently movie theaters 'round here were showing a Coke ad that had some interesting music. The ad was a series of stills telling a story of someone going back in time and giving [the hated product] to various people, running out, pissing off Genghis Khan, etc. The music wasn't in English, sounded Eastern European to my ignorant ears. It had a male voice and a sort of swinging sound. They don't seem to be playing this ad anymore here. What was the music?

In the new Nike "For Warriors" ad (click the "Watch the TV ad" after the flash intro), they are playing a clip that I know I have somewhere in all my CDs and MP3s. But after a couple of days of pouring through them all I can't find it. Can anyone name the music?

Anyone else a fan of the TV adverts for Cartoon Network (by, I guess, Williams Street of Sealab 2021 and ATHF fame)? The new CG commercials are fun, and the old classics featured things like Shaggy doing a variation on the Whopper/Royale conversation from Pulp Fiction, and Johnny Bravo sitting around in Hopper's Nighthawks coffeeshop (having had his heart broken by Scooby Doo's Velma.) Hip stuff with obvious references aimed at adults. Can the adverts be found anywhere? Anyone want to sharez a link with me via e-mail? Thanks.

I'm wondering about the laws related to political TV ads. I thought candidates had to have some sort of video taped approval message at the end of them. Hence the "My name is Kang, and I approve of this message." I've been seeing at the end of ads. Now, I'm noticing this same speech at the begriming of the ads, which makes me wonder if it was mandated to be at the end. I tend to zone out lots of TV, so if an ad has the approval message at the beginning, I have to watch for fine print at the end. Is this a changing trend?

When is it proper to place GoogleAds in a blog? My "other" site has been approved for it but I don't want to give the impression that I've sold out or anything. Budget is minimal so maintenance is not a factor...yet. Do you think having those ads will add cachet to a site? Or will it just achieve the opposite? [No self-links/respond with confidence]

In IBM's new television campaign ("The child called 'Open'"), little blonde boy Linux is seen sitting in a chair near, in or on a series of famous structures. I recognize the Brooklyn Bridge, and St. Mark's Square, but does anyone recognize the silver geodesic dome structure? It may be a process-shot, since the grounds look more than a little like the reflecting pools outside the Taj Mahal...
