Very last minute trip to Asheville, NC and wondering what to do for four days! Can anyone recommend zip line tours? Hikes are a plus but concerned it might be touristy? Should probably check out the Biltmore? Sorry, just internet overwhelmed and its coming down to the wire. Details are me, partner and three teenage girls that are up for anything. Beers a plus for the adults!
Looking for lunch ideas to pack and take with me, when I go to college starting in January. So, in January, I'll be starting full time school again. Yay. However, this particular Community College has a dearth of lunch options - just a sad cafeteria, and nothing within easy walking distance that I know of. Boo. (North Seattle Community College, if familiar). And I need ideas. I won't have access to a refrigerator. I will have, in theory, access to a microwave - but it may break, and/or be in constant use by other students. So I'd probably need dishes that can be eaten safely at room temperature that are filling and tasty. I can cook, and am adventurous, so I'm willing to try lots of different things. [more inside]

Looking for good music, drinks, dancing (no pop music), theater, food, sight-seeing, adventure, etc. in San Francisco for a summer vacation. It will be me and my girl. It will also be her birthday. [more inside]
Dear international travelers: what, where and when are your favorite food-based cultural festivals? I'm not only asking about agricultural festivals, although I appreciate recommendations for those, too; I'm also interested in religious and cultural festivals where a specific food or ingredient plays a central role.
