Is there a legitimate way to buy discount software for a high-school student? My son, a sophomore in high school, is enjoying a class that makes heavy use of Photoshop CS4. We'd like to get him CS4 for the computer he uses at home (Vista, 4 GB memory), but it's very expensive. I know there are discounts for college students. We'd rather not use 'warez' sites. Thanks!

I tried installing Photoshop CS4 several times on my Macbook Pro and each time, the icon showed up as a circle with a line through it (see this screenshot). We want to upgrade from Adobe Creative suite 1 to at least CS 3 at our office. We use mostly Illustrator and Photoshop. But the upgrade seems to be more important for Illustrator than photoshop. -It needs to be relatively cheap to get approved so I am wondering the following: a) Would it make sense to just upgrade illustrator or would that cause compatibility issues with the older version of photoshop? b) We need to upgrade on 4 machines? How many upgrades would we need to buy. c) What are the benefits of CS 4 vs CS 3? d) Sicne CS4 is out does that mean CS 3 is cheaper?

Does anyone have a URL where I can download Adobe Photoshop CS (Not CS2) for Mac? I'm trying to reinstall it, but I do not have the original install package. I did find a download link for the CS trial version, but this version does not let me enter a serial number. The 'registration' menu item is grayed out. I do not have the money right now to buy the software at the normal retail price but would like to learn them. Adobe Photoshop 7.0 problem: I just installed around 3000 fonts on my Windows XP system, and now photoshop won't start. It starts loading the reading font part of setup and then craps out saying: "Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable." What can I do besides deleting all the fonts I installed?
