The US Postal service has an address standardization/correction service that many companies use. When we put our condo address in as 123A Main Street, it changes it to "123 MAIN ST APT A". Since we don't live in an apartment, is there any way to change that with the USPS so it would be "123 MAIN ST UNIT A" or "123A MAIN ST"?
We are working on simple machine language in computer science for data manipulation. All the other problems I have gotten through but this last one. Here is the problem: "Write a short program in machine language to perform requested activity. Assume the program is placed in memory starting at address 00- -If the value stored in memory location 44 is 00, then place the value 01 in memory location 46; otherwise, put the value FF in memory location 46." How can I simply print an envelope or two from my Mac to any printer that can handle envelopes? I'm printing directly on the envelope, but it's a standard #10 envelope--no labels, no odd sizes. I'd like USPS barcodes. I've got a copy of EasyEnvelopes and I've been trying to print from it, but nothing happens on my printer and I can't update it because they charge for it now. Printing other docs works fine. [more inside]
I (in the US) am going to mail a small gift to a friend of mine currently residing in South Korea. Having already unsuccessfully attempted to mail her a postcard a couple of months ago, I want to make sure my package doesn't vanish in the postal abyss since it is going to cost a double-digit number of dollars to mail. I have a 100-page Word document full of miscellaneous content from different websites. Unfortunately, after each section taken from a website, there's basically a citation for where the content was taken from that contains the URL for the website. I need to find a way to find all these hyperlinks and delete them completely from my document. They're all from different websites, so really, the only commonality is the "http://" part.

I'm writing a book, and I just got the following task from my editor: get a sizable (50+) list of high profile people who have written blurbs or reviews for similar books, and get their mailing addresses. Here's the kicker: I'm not supposed to contact them directly, unless I already know them personally. So! What's the best way to do this? I hear there are search engines that charge a monthly fee for this kind of information, but I'm having a hard time finding out which ones are good and which are scams. I moved out of my apartment and want to travel and work remotely most of the year before taking a new apartment. My problem is that I don't have a fixed address in the meantime. My mail is forwarded to my parents outside the US (working very well), but I need an address to use with the IRS/Licence bureau/bank, etc. Could I boldly use my previous address even if I moved out? Can I use the foreign address with the government and the state without getting in trouble? Could I still be a resident of my state even if my mailing address is abroad? Could I use a P.O. Box? Some other service? What if I lengthen my absence from my state, at which point do I cease to be a resident of that state? (I'm a US citizen and a tourist in the countries I'm traveling to). I can use some heads up!

I'm trying to find a decent, reputable company that offers a US address and package forwarding / reshipping to Canada. Seems like there are a LOT of options (myUS, shipito, viaddress, BongoUS) but not a lot of information on which ones are good, and lots of sketchy 4 star reviews.
Can you suggest some place to buy custom return address labels, who have a good reputation and tasteful templates? Google has a thousand tacky options that all seem the same.
