A friend's got a Samsung LED TV which has two input jacks (appears to be the "3.5mm" type) for Component signal - 1 socket for video (red, green, blue) and 1 for audio (red, white). Problem is: where do I find these cable adapters so we can connect (5) component cables into these (2) input jacks?

I'm visiting MacMinnville, Oregon from the East Coast. When I arrived at my motel I found that my adapter for my Dell Vostro 1520 laptop no longer works. Is there anyone out there who could direct me to a retail outlet near here, perhaps in Portland or Salem, where I could buy a replacement? I have a NetgearWG111v3 wireless USB network adapter. I absolutely hate the software it comes with to manage internet connections. I'd rather use the default network management tool that is built into Windows 7 (clicking on the notification area to bring a drop down list of available networks). Is there a way to restore the windows 7 default?

While reading the
iPod anniversary post, I remembered that I had a 2nd-gen iPod tucked away. It only has a Firewire port. My Macbook is long retired. Several years ago we bought a small HD tv manufactured in China, from e-bay. The power adapter plug, the end that inserts into the tv, is now physically broken, beyond repair. How can I find a Dajing DJ-U485-12? Google search turns it up, from various Chinese companies, and translates the pages for me, but when I email I am directed to "Globalsources.com," apparently a brokerage firm. I registered with them but haven't heard from any Chinese companies regarding the adapter. I have tried to buy it in the US but can't find any sources here. Any ideas would be much appreciated! My old laptop blew the motherboard after 3 years of great use (Acer Aspire 5670). I just bought a new laptop (Acer Extensa 5630Z). Can I use the power charger/AC Adapter from my old on my new without doing damage?
The new one is rated 19V 3.43A. The old one is 19V 4.4A. (plugs are the same). Long live the hive mind!
