I'm interested in finding a site / YouTube channel / similar portal that shows only the "action" portion of sporting events. For example, a Youtube channel that would edit out all of the footage from NFL games, showing only the time when the clock was running. MLB has clips of key pitches/hits on their site (as does the NFL), but not the whole game from what I can find. Can anyone point me in the right direction of a full game trimmd down to only the "action"?
Longshot I know but here's the things I remember being said... It was an indie game with a great soundtrack, played like Zelda in some form-- that was the specific thing I remember, that it played like Zelda. Seemed pretty new. Think it had two words in the title too-- wasn't Transistor. Thanks!
Not sure how to say this, but I think that I am procrastinating on things even when I seem to be busy doing other things. I need to get to a point in my life where I am taking consistent action rather than thinking about doing things. [more inside]
Not really sure how to say this, but I have been adding some hobbies and other things to my life but am finding it hard to keep doing everything. I have traditionally never been someone who gets bored very easily but I find myself in this position a good portion of the time right now. [more inside]
I'm enjoying the breathlessly ridiculous tone and pace of Dr. McNinja, which I think does a great job of avoiding the unstoppable-force vs. unmovable-wall dynamic of mainstream superhero comics. It plays fast and loose with everything, and has a fine sense of the absurd. It is only occasionally problematic (racist, homophobic) in its juvenile sensibilities, which is way better than most of its competition. What movies, books, and comics are comparable?
It's been a long time since my philosophy courses in college, and none of the ones I took had a focus on ethics. In the back of my mind I've been wondering if anyone has explored whether there is a disconnect between morality + ethics on the one hand and right action on the other. (Right action is meant in the plain language sense--I don't recall if it's a term of the art or not, but I suspect it is.) [more inside]

-PC action-adventure game, mostly action, but I do remember simple adventure things like moving blocks or unlocking doors -first person view -can't remember how health stats and weaponry were viewed -Had to rescue a woman (go figure), but not sure if she was royalty or anything, just motivation to do the journey -Started in kobold (or kobolt) caverns, there was a spider cavern section where it was tunnels burrowed by the spiders themselves, a lava cavern/mining level where you had to break down a rock borer (might have been a laser) -mid to late 90's probably because it's graphics were close to Quake 2, just not as smooth [more inside]

I remember going into almost any toy store or even drug stores and being able to buy a big bag of the little green plastic army figures for 2-3 bux. I am looking for something in the same vein. I am looking for little plastic crows. Anywhere from 2-5" in size. I figure with Halloween season abound, that it would be easier said than done. If they even exist? I have done all sort of google searches with different combinations of words and can't find anything even remotely close to what I want, again, if they exist. For a project of mine, really looking to stay within 50 cents to a dollar each at most. any shoppers out there can guide me in the right direction? thanks
I imagine a lot of people are angry about what the House is trying to do in de-funding Obamacare. This combined with other recent actions seem likely to lead to some kind of protest, but I can't find information about any event like this. [more inside]
Previously we used a Photoshop cs5 Action to save images that were already on our Windows file server to another folder on the server. We got a new server. The Action now longer works, seemingly because the path is different, though the drive letter is the same. I've attempted to record a new Action, following the steps in the old Action, but there's a problem. The new action records the name of the file, so all new files saves with that Action are saves names of the file used to record the action. The original action did not save the name of the file used when recording the action. We would like the new action to do what the old Action did How can I get Photoshop to record this action and not save the name of the file, so it can be used by multiple people on different Windows 7 machines? I'm an American in Bangalore. Tomorrow, major unions have called for a nationwide bandh (strike). I'm having a major personal crisis about what to do. Listen, I know this isn't my country. And it's not my strike. But I'm very, very, very uneasy about what role I should be playing. [more inside]
Indiana Jones, Romancing the Stone, National Treasure, The Extraordinary Adventures of Adele Blanc-Sec and even Tomb Raider and Sahara. I love all these movies. Recommend me more of the same, please!
Excellent Action Scenes In Books? I'm looking for examples of tense, fast paced action sequences in novels and short stories. The written equivalent to the cinematic on-the-edge-of-your-seat-oh-crap-the-person-may-die-how-will-they-escape thing. Bonus if the situation is complex yet reads like a clear, clockwork machine. Seeking Mac game recommendations. Back in the day, I enjoyed the hell out of Oni. The mix of hand-to-hand and gunfighting, the story, the visual style. What other games might I like? I am by no stretch of the imagination a hardcore gamer.

The two most compelling female action characters I've seen are Hanna and Nikita (the original French movie one). The Mass Effect series does 'female badass' pretty well, and so too does George R. R. Martin (Game of Thrones et al.). Peter Watts is good at profoundly damaged female badasses. What other movies, games, books, and TV shows would I like that feature well-written female badasses? I'm looking for mottos, slogans, or quotes that are short enough to be easily remembered, that are meant to spur someone to take action towards their goals, and/or that warn against overthinking and overplanning and staying in your head – in other words, that laud the merits of action over thought. I've already thought of "just do it" (which is the precise sentiment I'm looking for), but it is so overplayed that it doesn't have much meaning any longer. Any sentiment of any length is appreciated, but ideally it would be something that easily sticks in your mind.

In Photoshop 5.5 I was able to create an action to resize a layer/selection to a maximum width (say, 200 px). I could quickly select objects of varying initial sizes, run the action, and voila, everything fit neatly in a column. I've had Photoshop CS4 for over a week and can't figure out how to replicate this; my resizing seems to always be happening as a percent of the original size. [more inside]
