I am an adult with low-moderate acne in the form of 1-2x weekly zits on my face. I have been intrigued by reading about blue light and in particular
BlueMD. Anyone with experience using blue light for non-cystic acne (or any sage words about whether it is hokum)?

Since switching birth control as an adult in my early thirties, I've started getting acne again on my face and back. Retin-A helps control, but does not eliminate pimples. Has IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) worked for you in similar circumstances?

I have some redness and scarring on my face left over from old acne. I know there are colors which bring out other colors, and colors which do the opposite, but I have no clue how this works. For example, a friend told me I shouldn't wear yellowish-green clothes with my complexion. What color clothes should I (a) wear to minimize the appearance of redness, and (b) avoid? (I'm white, male, brown hair, blue-green eyes, if any of that info helps.)

I had a nodular acne in my neck about a week ago. It was reddish and painful, but I didn't do anything about it and waited until it subsided. Now my problem is, it looks as if it left fat deposit/lump in my neck (more like internal). It's not painful but it worries me if it is just really deposit or enlarged lymph nodes.
My appointment with a dermatologist is not until Monday, so any ideas how to get rid of it? I doubt it's lymph node though but I am not sure either.

YANMD, but MD(ermatologist) can't see me until October (!), thanks to some excellent health insurance. Last summer I started, seemingly out of nowhere, having a very odd and very severe reaction to the sun on my face - whiteheads, all over, almost literally in crops all over my face. If you picture a person's skin being almost completely swapped for whiteheads, that's along the lines of what I had (not on eyelids, etc, but it hurt and felt horrific). It might be getting worse, I can't get to see a dermatologist, and I work outside in the summers - is there any help for me this summer?
