I've never used Access; I'm a SQL snowflake and don't take naturally to its norms. Pretend I'm your technology-challenged elderly relative, and tell me how to set up tables to run queries on survey results.

In a few days my uni library is going to cut off my sweet, sweet access to its electronic resources, including full text e-journals and online references like OED. I can get an alumni account for $50 a year, but that only gives me physical borrowing rights, not e-resources. Does anybody offer comprehensive access to full-text online journals to non-students for a fee? I don't have a particular field in mind - I want it all. I'm an Australian in Australia, if it matters.

How can I automatically generate an email from this query? Ideally this would just magically send an email whenever the query is populated with a new project.

I'm interested in dishwashing practices in the developing world. If you were one of roughly the half of the people in the world
without running water in your home, how might you wash your dishes? What kind of set up would you have? Are sinks common even if you collect water from a public well or
water truck? Or would you have a washbasin/plastic tub? On a countertop, table, or floor? Cloth or tarp outside? Would you use non-potable water to do the washing up? Save the graywater for next time or for other cleaning tasks?

I have a Linksys WRT110 router. Although it has some access controls, I find them difficult to use and counterintuitive, and I say this as someone who has been using computers since the days of the TRS-80.
Is there a router out there that will let me limit access times by MAC address of different devices, either by a daily quota or a cutoff time?

I'm an environmental scientist. I just received an email from a group called "Intech Open Access Publisher", referencing one of my papers, and asking me if I'd like to submit a chapter for a
book. My first thoughts were "Oh man, I didn't think that paper was
that great...". My second thoughts were "Hmm...I bet this is a form email sent out to thousands of researchers based on a keyword search, and it may well be a waste of time to submit an abstract." Has anyone else had experience in this sort of thing? Is it legit?

see all of the shared files, folders and drives on my main machine it keeps telling me I don't have the correct permissions whenever I click on them - but permissions are set to 'Everyone' and another machine (a netbook) I do the same thing with can see and play everything perfectly... can anyone offer any help or suggestions please, I'm at my wit's end! I'm looking for a way to have a windows computer do the equivalent of unpluging and re plugging a usb modem. This system is accessed remotely via Logmein and it is connected to the internet by an external usb evdo modem. The system is located in a third world country and the connection is not reliable. When it goes down, unplugging/replugging sometimes does the trick. How can I make the computer do this on its own?
