My good friend, a lover of all things herbal, has never tried absinthe. I'd love to give her the opportunity before she moves away in two weeks. Can you recommend an importer that can ship to the US in that time-frame and won't break my bank? [more inside]

I am looking for some specific items to purchase in or around Toronto .I will be wandering the Kensington market area this week looking for the following:
Reasonably priced Salvia (5 or10 x), silver Absinthe spoons, Kopi Luwak coffee, Costa Rican (or other) coffee sock, “Day of the Dead” theme imported pottery/tiles,Tibetan rope incense , hand operated conical burr grinders for press and Turkish coffees and a herb called "rum rau" aka Vietnamese coriander. I am also trying to locate a food bar called "Toast".
Can anyone recommend some stores/areas to check?

OK, head management question ... Kids away, new man, gift bottle of Absinthe from Parisian friends. Is it the 'right' nectar for a romantic evening? We are, um, experienced drinkers dying to try it ... on the other hand, we want to create the right, you know, buzz. Will this do it? How do we cook it?
