In the early 90's I saw a band at the Limelight in New York. The band was made up entirely of percussion instruments. There were maybe 10 people playing and they were all painted gold. I cannot for the life of me remember what they were called and it's driving me nuts. Does sound familiar to anyone?

Greenwich Village NYC EVENT restaurant recommendation. We're looking for a restaurant in the Village that is an experience to go to. What are the New York City "projects"? I often hear the phrase "The Projects" in TV and movies. I understand they are an area of somewhat low-cost housing, and that it tends to be an "unsavory" neighborhood, but not terribly so.
