adding a drive

Why does adding a third drive to my WinXP system cause the error "NTLDR is missing" upon subsequent boot? In the past it's worked fine like this. [more inside]

xp annoyance

In WinXP SP2, I can no longer drag and drop files from one folder to another, or from Explorer onto applications. Nothing happens, either right- or left-clicking. To move files around I have to cut and paste. Any idea how to get my drag and drop back?
