I'm trying to get my old files off of an old Hard-disk. Old PC is XP newer PC is Vista. I removed the Hardisk from the OLD computer. I bought a USB to SATA/IDE cable. When I plug in the Hard-disk via USB, I hear the confirmation tone that you hear everytime you plug in a USB. I see a "ST340082 0AS SCSI Disk Device" in the "Safely remove hardware" icon in the tray. but I do not see the Drive. I can't really afford an External Hard drive. But I will eventually if I have to. Cna anyone help me please.

How can I speed up copying the same date to lots and lots of USB keys? I have to copy data, using XP, to a whole bunch of keys. That's a lot of inserting and dragging and dropping and it may drive me insane. Is there any way to speed up the process? Something that does lots of USB keys at once? Some sort of auto-copy thing?

I inherited a Memorex Dual USB card reader without a Windows XP driver. It's theoretically available at Memorex's web site but the links throw errors and when I tried to contact support, it generated a MySQL error (surprise, surprise). All of the various drivers sites I could find simply link back to Memorex's faulty site. Does anyone have this driver? It's probably in a form like "Dualreader.exe" rather than a zip archive.

I have two computer hard drives installed onto one machine, and no CD for the first hard drive. The computer doesn't recognize USB ports nor the DVD drive on one of the hard drives. How can I fix that? [more inside]

I have a big external USB hard drive with three partitions for infrequently used files and backup. I was wondering what kind of file to make to have it automatically open a folder showing the drive when I power on the device and not ask me what I'd like to do with each of the other drives. I use a Windows XP box at work. I use a Powerbook G4 at home. I'd like to buy the bluetooth Apple Pro keyboard and use it both at home and at work. Is this possible? If so, any specific recommendations for a USB-bluetooth adapter for my work machine? Thanks in advance.

I have a Fujifilm FinePix 2650 digital camera which, although a great camera, has the crappiest image-access software. Instead when I bought it I just used XP's camera wizard, which worked great. Since I went to XP-SP1 it recognizes the camera as a USB drive, not a camera. Trying to use camera setup wizard gives a "no camera detected." So I can get the images as they're JPEG files, but the auto-naming and features of camera wizard are unavailable. Anyone else have camera-detection problems on XP-SP1? Is there a workaround?
