However i am not sure, whether storing those documents
in yahoo email etc is safe.
Can some one suggest a good safe option, where i can
scan documents and put them in internet not accessible

Are there any free encryption software which encrypts
the documents and stores them.
It is okay, if some budget software is also available,

I'm 24.
I have no credit card debt at all.
I never went to college, so I have no loans to pay.
I still live at home, so I have no rent/mortgage.
I drive a car that has already been paid for.

Where can I find "low-tech" jobs online?
We just had a baby and so my wife has to stay at home and take care of him.
However, she still has some free time and she would like to do some stuff from home. She's a medical doctor with a bit of IT experience (mostly as a user, though). So I was thinking to find her some work online, maybe entering some data or as a translator (she speaks English and German, German is her mother-tongue) or maybe other "low-tech" jobs like this...
So do you have any idea where can I find such jobs?
Thanks!

I will be changing cities, working a fairly similar job to the one I am in now, and moving to a city where the housing costs are slightly higher. How do I figure out how much I need to make the move? Is a calculator available to help with this decision? I am looking for raw numbers here, I will factor in social costs later.

I've been self-employed for most of that time and have been invoicing on a 'per gig' basis for years now, but I'm wondering if, as they've easily (by a factor of lots) been my main employer for those sixteen years whether a 'that's your lot, chum' is all I'm getting, or is there a 'self-employed severance' for long term invoicers?

Unemployment benefits. Long story short, although I was making production goals and coming to work on-time, dressed appropriately &c, my supervisor thought I "didn't like" my job and would be "more suited" for something else. So I was given the "quit or be fired" option. They said they would not contest my application for unemployment benefits (I'm in Illinois). I filled out the forms, explaining that I was fired for not "being suited" to the job, despite making goals. However, I've gotten a letter saying there are "questions" about my claim and I have to be intereviewed. How am I supposed to handle this? [more inside]

I have a serious problem. I've managed to screw up rather badly, and have lost a $10,000 scholarship. I don't have a job and my rent/food/everything money is from student loans and is carefully budgeted to run out with the end of the spring semester. I need a job but I live in a city where the largest employer is the post office. I have 5/8ths of a BA in English. My resume is none-existent. The last paying job I had was almost two years ago. I worked at a McDonald's for the federal minimum wage. Between now and the end of August I need to either earn $13,000 ($3k to live on, the rest for school), or find a career that has long-term security. I'm quite frightened, actually. I have several skills but no evidence—references, resume, awards, etc.—to prove it. Short of committing a crime, which I will not do, does anyone have any practical advice? A brief list of skills I possess are inside.
