I'd like to get more into freelance copywriting. It's something I can do from home, and I'm pretty good at it. I have a money and time goal for it.
Money: 5 cents a word
Time: 15 hours a week
Total: About $1,500 a month.
I'm on Textbroker, but they rarely pay more than 1.5 cents a word. I'm open to pay-by-project too, if they're consistent. How would I go about finding regular clients/websites that could help me reach my goal?

Would I know if this is as good as it gets? I know I've got it pretty good, better than most I bet...but I feel a little, I don't know, perhaps unsettled. But maybe that isn't even the right way to describe it - physically it's more liked stressed with a side order of tired. How do you know when you're at the top of your game and when you are in the place that is best for you and your family?

Short blocks of worktime, during which I need to do work I'm accustomed to doing in much longer blocks. Any strategies for focusing quickly, re-focusing after interruptions (which can come at any time), and generally dealing with much shorter/'shallower' work blocks than one is used to having?

I am looking for a PT job that can be done on the computer. I see ads in craigslist about working at home, earn xxx per week, etc. but was wondering if someone has tried any of these and have any recommended jobs like this? My mom would like to try some of these out since she'll be at home most of the time and thought some side income would be good.
Thanks,

A few months back NPR had a story about the budget airline Jet Blue using booking agents who work from home. Does anyone know of other companies with employees doing computer work from home? I have a friend in New Jersey who's a single mom with no transportation who's also limited in her job options because of the high cost of child care and limited marketable skills. I'd like to know what home bound job opportunities exist for someone in this predicament. Any other suggestions for job options would be appreciated.

Do you work from home? How'd you get that gig? I'm an experienced Unix SysAdmin and most of what I do could easily be done remotely. I'm looking to move back west next year and would like to live farther out from a city center then I'd like to commute each day, so I'd like to find a job that would allow me to work home most of the time. Do people get hired into jobs like that or is it something that has to grow out of an existing job?
