Can you help me view and print background colors in Word? I'm trying to reproduce a form that has a purple background. This form will be completed on screen, but may also be printed. For reasons that we won't go into, it has to be in Word. I'm having trouble getting a purple background that shows up when viewing it on the screen and also when printing. Is there a way to get both? In Word, is there any way to set up autocorrect such that it automatically capitalises different combination? E.g., I want 'member State', 'Member state' and 'member state' to automatically be capitalised as 'Member State', but after putting in the first combination, autocorrect can't recognise the difference. Any ideas?

What's the best dictionary to use in conjunction with Word (Windows)? I am a writer and would like to search/cross reference definitions--and synonyms, if possible--directly from my file in Word, and without going online. Webster's Third New Unabridged is my go-to dictionary, but the reviews of its CD-ROM leave me confused. Any advice would be appreciated.

How do they create book indexes? I have a friend who's a grad student, and she needs to create an index for her hundred page scientific thesis. Is there any easy way to do it in MS Word, or another software product -- something that a non-geek could churn and burn with in a couple of hours?

I've got a couple of Type 1 fonts that I would like to use, but MS Word crashes whenever I try to use them. They work fine in all other applications. I've got Adobe Type Manager, latest version. I've asked about this in several other forums, without being able to solve the problem. If anyone can sort this out, it's gotta be the AskMe crew.
And, oh yeah, I'm running Windows ME. Bring it on. I can take it.
