Networking question: I have a wireless router (well, 2, actually, as I thought the old one was faulty so just bought a new one) but it can't see the outside world. If I plug my computer directly into the modem, I can use the internet. If I plug a router into the modem, it can't see the internet. (I can connect to the router via wireless or wired, but the router can't connect any further.) Any ideas what this might be? [more inside]

I've two wireless connections on the same box. So, how does windows choose which one to use? Sort of related: I've a dotnet client/server application which is IP specific for its database (MYSQL) and two LAN connections on the same server (one for local, one for the internet). How do I force that application or database to use the right one (the local)?

I have been living in a small university town outside Prague in the Czech Republic since the summer. I am using my 2006 Apple MacBook MA254LL/A (running 10.5.5) to connect to the internet. However, I have experienced a lot of problems connecting to free wireless internet hotspots. My laptop takes a while to locate the network by scanning, and then either asks for a password or tells me the network is unavailable. I know that my Airport works fine elsewhere, and that the connection usually happens automatically. I will ask one of the workers at the store if there is a password, and the answer is always no. Moreover, I see PC users connecting to the internet without a problem. Does anyone know what the issue is with wireless networking on a Mac in the Czech Republic? [I would post this question to the Apple support forums, but it appears that their new accounts system is down]

I'm Looking to do some fairly custom wireless setups in my area and I have no idea of a place that would supply everything I need for cheap. I live in Canada so this location needs to ship to Canada preferably located in Canada. Basically I need: -Really Low loss cable for wifi 802.11. (i have heard LMR-400 is good for 10foot lengths or so) -RP-TNC connectors -MC-card connectors -N-male connectors -N-female Chasis mounts In total im hoping to result in about 4-6 cables. I'm really hoping for a one stop shop but if i have to order from more than one place to get this cheaper thats fine too. [more inside]

Help me find a Mac friendly wireless router? I've got a broadband neophyte Mac-using brother stuck in the wilderness. He just got DSL, but the router he has only uses PC software, and there's nobody even semi-local who can help him. Are there any wireless routers out there known for their Mac-friendliness? That is, come with Mac software for setup, have Mac-oriented support, etc?
