Looking for book or website recommendations on combining finances after marriage. Or your thoughts and tips here. I am getting married this summer and have begin to discuss combining accounts with my fiancee. We currently have a shared checking account from which we pay combined monthly bills. Going to an engagement party tonight, as a guest. Is it okay if I wear a white dress? Is it a faux pas? The dress is a simple white shift mini dress with cap sleeves and silver flecks. I'm wearing opaque black pantyhose to give it a mod look, but I have been told with a 50/50 response that it's not okay to wear white to an engagement party. What do you think?

What is a creative way for me (male, 22) to propose to my girlfriend (female, 21) in the area of Atlanta, GA or somewhere in NW GA? I do not want to do something that has been overdone (megatron @ ballgame). I want it to be romantic, semi-private (not drawing huge attention if is out in public), and memorable. A number of years back I gave a pair of Swatches like these as a wedding gift. It's hard to tell from the photo, but one watch has the hours, the other has the minutes. They belong together so much that they barely function separately. I have a bunch of wedding-related gifts to give in the near future. Can anyone recommend paired things in a similar vein?

Marriagefilter - I (we) got engaged a few weeks ago, and the wedding planning has started. We're frantically searching (our minds, the intraweb) for pre-ceremony songs. Something along the lines of Sarah Mclachlan, something easy for a male and female vocalist. My fiance is even considering a song by Wynonna. Please lend any suggestions; we're brain dead.
