I am pastor of a church that does many weddings each year. For years, we've provided couples a CD with 20 brief samples of classical/sacred music recorded by our church organist. This allows the couple to easily select music for every part of their ceremony, but I think it might be easier and cheaper to just post these online. Can you guide me in posting 20 or so samples of 1 minute or less on our website so we avoid the cost of copying CDs? [more inside]
I'm interested in learning about music based on specific subgenres. I feel like I acquire new music in a sort of scattershot way, hearing things randomly and liking them or not liking them. Which is mostly fine! But I don't think I have a good sense of how different musicians have influenced each other or how people who make music define the sort of music they make. I would like to focus on one subgenre at a time and learn about it, try to figure out how it works and what I think of it. So pick your favorite niche subgenre and give me the single best website for learning about that genre. [more inside]

What websites out there allow me to manually enter a list of my favourite bands and then suggest similar music to me?
What websites out there allow me to manually enter a list of my favourite bands and then suggest similar music to me? The websites I have found so far offer to scan my iTunes library but I don't use iTunes so I must be able to enter the bands manually. The bands should be suggested based on the tastes of other users rather than advertising e.t.c.
Can I use iTunes music on my website if it is not for resale? If so, how do I get it on the website (it has to be in MP3 format). [more inside]
