I'm thinking of starting a webcomic. I have an idea, and I think I have some good drawing and writing skills. But I also have many questions and I'm hoping experienced web cartoonists might be able to offer some insight. [more inside]

I produce a YouTube show about media literacy/criticism. Right now we post weekly, on a schedule which is driving me insane. Does frequency of publishing new content matter (whether it's for a blog, a podcast, a comic, etc) so long as you publish regularly? Could I do it every other week or monthly without losing people's attention? And what do you suggest doing to help make up for less-frequent publishing? [more inside]

Tracking down a specific webcomic: Starts with the protagonist hiding from his landlord, then details his past ambitions towards working in the tech-industry--eventually culminating in a trip to a futurism convention that sours him on the whole thing. He finds a typewriter at a garage sale and resolves to live a simple, working-class life and write a lot... sound familiar? Thanks.

A while back someone posted a link to a web comic in one of the threads. unfortunately, I failed to bookmark it and cannot find it via searches. It was unusual in that the main web site was a eshop for swords and other fantasy weapons. The comic was a bit of an afterthought and difficult to dig up through a series of links within the site. The comic itself was a tale about a son of a blacksmith who wasn't good at smithing himself. His companion was a cheeky intelligent sword that uttered acerbic opinions frequently. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Hi, I'm trying to locate a web-based comic strip that I had read sometime ago. The main protagonist is a young girl who works in a photo developing shop/lab. One day a customer submits some gory photos featuring violent acts (possibly murder? ) and the girl decides to investigate the matter on her own. That is all I can recall. Does this strike a note with anyone else? Additionally, I would welcome recommendations for other webcomics that are favorites with the MeFi community. I enjoy stuff like PhD. and PVP. Thanks

I am trying to find a comic strip that I only vaguely remember. The specific strip I can recall was a discussion about class structure which turned out to be between two kitchen appliances. I remember a line that was something like: "at no other time in history could a toaster and a microwave even have this conversation." [more inside]

What's your favorite webcomic? I mostly read Something Positive and Liliane but I'm looking to branch out. I'm up for anything but as recs go I'd prefer more than a link so a sentence or three about the comic and why you like it would be cool.
