I am wanting to enjoy some outdoor exploration this year in Washington state. The catch is, I have multiple sclerosis and my ability to walk is severely hampered (I can walk short distances- maybe about a city block or 2 at a time, sometimes I need a cane, but not wheelchair bound). Where should I go? [more inside]
Do you know of any booksellers in the Washington, DC area that sell Arabic books? I'm looking for shops that sell fairly current novels and nonfiction written in the Arabic language. Also, it would be nice if it was accessible by public transport. Thanks.
My family (7 adults/ spouses in our 20s/30s/40s and 2 parents in 60s) is taking a week vacation in Washington State in mid-August. We're thinking of flying into Seattle and staying somewhere on the Olympic Peninsula. To help figure out where we'll stay, we'd like recommendations for/ against destinations for day hikes, scenic drives, historic locations, etc. We're not backpackers or hard-core hikers, but would like to do some hiking/ outdoor activities.

My husband and I will be returning to DC, where we spent part of our honeymoon, for a 10th anniversary trip during the first week in May (May 1-May 7). I've seen these questions, which cover a lot, but we're also interested in events the locals might know about that we wouldn't hear about coming in from out out town. For location/travel purposes, we'll be staying at a hotel near the Foggy Bottom Metro stop and will not have a car. Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

What's a good place in or near the greater Seattle area, to park and photograph a car? I'm looking for somewhere which is a nice area or has a nice backdrop, has space to stop a car, and which is generally fairly deserted (so that camera etc. can be set up without constantly being the path of people/cars, and pictures can be taken without having to wait for people to leave the frame, etc). To make things harder, this would most convenient during the day on a weekend, but if a good place is most empty during office hours (or whatever), it might be worth the inconvenience.

Buying property with a water view... How can I confirm that the nice view will remain unobstructed over the years?
We are house-hunting in the Seattle area. Looking at property with water views. Willing to pay the higher price that comes with a view. But I'm reading some horror stories about how a neighbor will build a tower in front of your view, or neighbors who refuse to trim their tall shrubs. And then your view is obscured and your property value drops. How do I research this? How can I know if the viewshed is protected or not? What sort of monitoring would I need to do over the years? I will ask my realtor to research it, but I'd like to hear from people with experience with this issue.

I need recommendations for a career coach or career counselor in the Seattle area. I'm in my mid-40s, just got laid off for the 5th time throughout my 13 years in the web/tech industry, and have been thinking for a few months that I need a change, but I don't know what my next move is. I think I want more meaning in my work life instead of just going through the motions building the next widget for synergistic end to end solutions or some other corporate B.S. I don't just want a career counselor who will give me a bunch of tests and say "you should be a journalist or a librarian or whatever", I really want someone who will help me figure out how to be more fulfilled in my work life.
