Some friends and I are organizing a flash mob (specifically a bubble-blowing flash mob).
We've done some research online and seen a bunch of clips from around the world but were wondering if anyone out there in MetaFilter land could offer some advice for organizing an event like this -- a flash mob, viral marketing/'street team' campaign or anything you think that may help out! About two weeks ago I was in Chicago and saw a billboard stating something along the lines of "A Day Without Mexicans..." and gave a url of adaywithoutmexicans.com as well as a date for last month (Sept) that this was supposed to happen. I was kinda shocked by this and went to the website but all I get is a godaddy default page. Anyone from Chi-town know what this was about?
