Ulnar Nerve Entrapment and Me: How to help the healing of my poor arm?
A month ago, I was diagnosed with UNE, after a combination of using a bad table at home, a travel injury and bad crutch use over the months. So now, I want to do everything I can to heal my poor beleagured arm, because it's still acting up. [more inside]

My girlfriend -- an avid fan of console games -- was recently diagnosed with carpal tunnel and can't use a PS2 controller for more than a few minute without experiencing debilitating pain in her right arm. Does anyone know of an alternative controller that might free up her right hand? Has anyone used a DDR pad for non-dance related games, for instance? Or, have you tried the access controller? I'm worried it might just start aggravating her other arm, though... How about other consoles that have such an option? Controllers that essentially work the same way as a standard controller, but are smaller/larger/more ergonomic don't seem to help.

I like to think of myself as somewhat of a power user when it comes to mail servers, SSH, Gmail, and Outlook, but this one has me stumped! I use Outlook for both work and personal e-mail, but while on the network at work our ports are pretty locked down. How might I access my Gmail account via IMAP in Outlook while on a locked-down network? Ports 25, 110, 143, 587, 993, etc., are all blocked.
In order to access personal e-mail, I connect via SSH (PuTTY) to my DreamHost mail server and tunnel POP/SMTP (ports 110 and 25) traffic over that SSH session. Is there any way I could use that SSH connection to tunnel to Gmail's servers for IMAP access as well? If not using that tunnel, is there another way?
I can access Gmail through a web browser, but my objective is to be able to collect all my e-mail in Outlook as well. Thanks!

I have a Mac running OSX and use programs like Coda and Transmit to send out files. However, on certain networks, the only access I have to the net is via an http proxy (with no https, even!) .
I understand there are ways to tunnel sftp over http but could not find an easy guide (or set of tools) to do so in a way where I can attach such tunneling to one profile (ie. CUSTOMER or WORK) and not have the proxying happen on another profile (ie. HOME) [more inside]

What is the easiest/best way create a secure tunnel or VPN connection back to my home network to act as a relay for private interneting? Is it possible to do this using just a router that would be on anyway so I don't have to have a computer running all the time just to act as a relay? [more inside]

I use an FM transmitter for my MP3 player. When I went through a tunnel in Pittsburgh this past weekend, I thought that the reception would have come in crystal clear since most of the radio interference would be missing. Instead it fuzzed out the same way a radio station in a tunnel does. Why?
