As you can see from my past posting my husband lost his job last month. In the meantime the jobs he's qualified for are probably not in our area (CT). Chances are after talking to recruiters in his specialty, he will have to take a job in another part of the country - probably south/southwest.

I've lived in just one city for most of my adult life. I know a lot of people who've spent their large parts of their adult lives working and living in many different cities. Those of you who've done this, how did you go about doing it? How did it work out for you?

I want to travel, one way I have heard to do this is through organizations such as FEMA and the red cross. I am graduating with a Bachelors in English in 3 weeks and am 24 years old. There are no entry level jobs that I saw available on their websites, am I doing something wrong? Does anyone know where I can find entry level positions?
I had thought about teaching English in a Spanish speaking country, does anyone know of some reputable programs for someone wish bare-bones Spanish knowledge looking to improve?

I am terrified to travel. Trying to overcome some of the most basic of challenges is intimidating such as where do I eat, where do I sleep, how do I make money all come to mind. I figure I keep a bag of rice with some peanut butter and oats on me for food. I'm thinking a tent for a place to sleep and panhandling if I wind up screwing this up too bad. I would day labor no problem if it comes down to it, wondering if anyone has any experience with this? I keep trying to find travel companions, but everyone keeps falling through.
