Good town to visit in Spain in the summer with young kids?

What's a good town or smallish city in Spain to visit in the summer with kids (ages 2 and 5) in tow? We're looking at 3 weeks in late July/August, and would prefer a walkable place that's on a train line (or are they all?) so we wouldn't have to rent a car to explore locally or beyond. [more inside]

What are your favorite sights and restaurants in Seville, Spain?

We're going to Seville! What are your favorite sights and restaurants? Particularly I'd like to know about restaurants by neighborhood, since when I travel I often have a list of restaurants I've compiled but have trouble coordinating them with where I wind up after sightseeing. thank you, (if you happen to have favorite restaurants/sights in Cordoba that would be useful too!)

what are these red blotches on skin

My partner went hiking in Spain about a year and a half ago. She experienced some difficulties with her feet so it was a difficult hike with a fair amount of pain to complete the journey. She stayed in hostels along the way. She now has what looks like poison oak patches on her feet and arms that never seem to heal. [more inside]

New Year's Trip to North Africa, Middle East, Southern Europe?

My extended family is trying to put together a trip to someplace interesting, warm and beach-y, to occur around New Year's. For a variety of complicated reasons related to where people will be traveling from, the Middle East, North Africa and far southern Europe are the most feasible destinations. Where should we consider going? [more inside]

Tell me about eating in Andalucia

I will be spending ten days in southern Spain at the end of next month. I love food and am more excited about the eating than maybe any other part of the vacation - not just because of the food itself but because the whole eating culture and schedule is different from what I am used to as an American. What should we do in Spain/Andorra/Northern Morocco... in the winter?

My girlfriend and I plan to go to Spain, leaving Christmas day and coming back a few days after New Years. We are interested in both activities and places it's just nice to be for a while. Spain is the primary destination here, but we're open to side trips into Andorra and/or Morocco. And, hey, how about the Baleric Islands? [more inside]

Options for a few free days in southern spain?

I'm probably going to meet up with some friends to Ibiza in June, but I'm not much of a beach person, so if I get antsy, what else could I do with a few free days in southern Spain? I was thinking of spending a few days in Barcelona, but what are some other options that are relatively accessible from Ibiza? Also, advice for finding less expensive flights from the east coast of the US to Ibiza would be amazing.

Help me plan my trip to France!

I’m currently based in Andalucía, Spain, teaching English for the school year, and am planning to visit neighboring France during Christmas vacation. France fascinates me and will be the first country I visit outside of Spain during my time in Europe, but to be honest: I know nothing. I have approximately 13 days to spend in the country, I would like to see Paris and a few other sites in the northwest, and I will probably enter the country on the Mediterranean coast (from Spain) and leave via the Basque Country (to return to Spain). What should I see? [more inside]

Accessible attractions in Barcelona

My sister is travelling to Barcelona, Spain in November. She'll be at a hotel on the Plaza Catalunya for 3 days before leaving on a cruise ship. Sadly, she's on oxygen 24/7 and will be using a walker for short distances and an electric scooter to tour around the city. She'd like recommendations for food and must-see attractions within scootering distance. We've collected info from Google travel results, but they don't address accessibility concerns She plans to go to the Dali museum on a day trip, but other suggestions would be wonderful.

Help me wash my underwear in Madrid

I need a laundromat in Madrid, Spain. They seem to not exist and the threads online that list a few are quite old and the locations no longer exist (see: this thread and note. Surely this is not so. If none exists, an acceptable laundry service that will, for a reasonable price, wash and dry clothes without heavily perfumed (or perfume free) detergent [not a dry cleaning] will do... preferably near Gran Via, but anywhere will do at this point.

Grandpa was a POW in Spain and I just found my passport.

The sum total of my international traveling experience has been to take day trips into Baja (while I lived in LA) and day trips into Windsor (when I lived near Detroit,) two days in Toronto for my brother's wedding, and, oh yes, three hours walking around Niagara Falls last week because I was so happy I found my passport. Should we take a day trip to Tangier, Morocco?

My husband and I are visiting Spain in April. I want to take a day trip to Tangier, Morocco, but he isn't feeling it (he doesn't think a day trip is enough.) So this is my question - should we go to Tangier for the day, or should we find something else in the Seville area to do that day? Right now, we also are planning on visiting the Pueblos Blancos for a day, and we'll be spending a day in Seville. We'll also be in Granada for a couple of days. Thanks!

Do I need to get a multiple entry visa for Spain/Andorra travel as a US citizen?

I'm going to Spain (Barcelona) for 10 days, and I'm a US citizen, which in my understanding grants me a de facto 90-day single entry Schengen visa. I've been thinking about going to Andorra, a non-Schengen country, which suggests to me that I would therefore require a multiple entry Visa. Preliminary research confirms this. Stupid question: do I need to do this before I leave? Can anyone else who has gone to Andorra from Spain attest to the strictness or laxity of the immigration controls?

Where to go in Southern Spain?

I'm going on holiday to Spain with my mother. We're flying into Barcelona in August (bad time, I know!) for four days and then have 12 days to make our way to Casablanca before she starts a tour of Morocco. So I need to plan our time in Spain.
