We are getting married towards the end of September near Bath, Maine. We want to go on a fairly short, cheap honeymoon in or around that area. We've thought about PEI, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, even Quebec City--where have you been in this area that's romantic? Am missing a cute New England town that would be closer/cheaper/still an adventure?

HoneymoonFilter: in a couple of weeks, we're flying into Olbia, Sardinia where a rental car is waiting for us and flying out of Ajaccio, Corsica ten days later. I haven't booked or planned anything in between. Any itinerary suggestions or tips on what we shouldn't miss? Thanks.

My fiance and I are from Australia. We are getting married in the end of October in Singapore, and we are planning for a November honeymoon. We have about 4 weeks to play with and are planning the trip of a lifetime, with some luck, and the help of the wisdom of the pleasant Mefite people.

Where does it make sense to go for our late July/early August honeymoon? The wedding is in Bulgaria (nearest airports in Bulgaria are Bourgas and Sofia, but we can also fly out of Istanbul, Turkey) and afterward we'll fly home to Seattle.

We are planning to honeymoon in India for around 12 days in November. We are overwhelmed by all of the options and places to go. For first time travelers to India, what did you love, what did you hate, what would you do differently? What is your personal best advice that you would tell your best friend about a short vacation in India?

What shouldn't we miss in Tenerife Oct. 21 - 28? The very-soon-to-be-Mrs. and I are headed to Adeje for our honeymoon next week. We don't have much planned, and don't want to plan very much, but it would be nice to have a reference list of things we could do while we're there.

Where should we go for a honeymoon in early July of next year? We are leaning towards something all-inclusive. We've considered places in Mexico near Mayan ruins and such. Something with some history and touristy places to visit that we normally won't have an opportunity to see. On the other hand, we're willing to consider all other locations. Nothing is really off the table at this point. Dates will be the end of June beginning of July for 10-14 days. Neither of us are well-travelled and on a budget. We would prefer to stay in one location (so resorts are a definite interest) and have maybe $5k for the two of us. What suggestions do you have and what locations should we definitely avoid?

Please suggest destinations for an off-the-beaten-path weekend honeymoon this June. Criteria: close enough to St. Louis to fit a trip into three or four days including travel time; $1,000 to $2,000 total; somewhere beautiful, ocean is best; romantic but not in your standard champagne-and-strawberries way. We love the outdoors, arts and culture, great food, the environment, and discovering unexpected treasures when traveling.

I am planning our post-wedding honeymoon. As an added bonus to the post-wedding bliss, my wife just found out she is 6 weeks pregnant!!! We wanted to do a blowout honeymoon, but with the recent news, we are at a loss as to what we should do and where we should go. We know we are going to be very busy with children in 8 months, and because of this, we think we should take a trip that would be very unlikely with kids in tow. But, because she is pregnant, I am not about to offer up trekking in Nepal, or diving in the Great Barrier Reef. My baby needs her chill time.

No Limit Honeymoon. My new wife and I would like to go on a 2 - 2 1/2 week honeymoon. We will go anywhere in the world and want somewhere outside of the States or Europe. We will spend up to 20k US. She is not much into roughing it. We would like to be 50% active, and 50% chilling. We like to be pampered, we like to eat, we like to party, we like to swim, we like to relax. Where would you recommend we go based on the above? Hawaii, Australia, Thailand, Croatia, Zanzibar? Anyone have a outstanding honeymoon story or all around awesome place(s) they have visited? Set us up with an outstanding trip that will not be forgotten.

My fiancee and I are planning a honeymoon abroad, we're thinking of visiting Spain and/or France. Neither one of us are well spoken in the native languages... do we need to worry? What are people's experiences in this situation (just traveling abroad in general, to a place where you don't speak the language)? Is it a huge burden to bear on yourselves or on the country's native peoples?

I am planning my honeymoon for the two weeks beginning June 11th, 2007. My future wife and I are looking at Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo. We have heard that the weather can be too hot / too rainy this time of year, but I tend to think that my future in-laws and travel agent may be overreacting. Going to Hawaii in the start of November for my Honeymoon...9 days I think. I love to Hike and all that fun stuff, my fiance will hike but likes to do lighter things due partially to a heart murmur (she also likes to shop). I get bored just laying on the beach, she has a high stress job so I think she needs some relaxation time. So any suggestions?

My fiancee and I are planning our honeymoon and thought a cruise might be a nice experience. We are looking for recommendations on cruise lines, ships, and destinations. A little about us: We are 30 & 29, employed decently, but are cost concious as we are saving for a home, and pretty hip (if I do say so myself). Our most important criteria in selecting a cruise (line) are diversity in activities, best value, cleanliness, and service. We have only been to St. Thomas and Cancun, and a loop hitting other destinations would be prefered. Mainly, something not astrinomical in $, on a clean fun ship with 20-30 somethings (no toddler or bingo bus rides please) for a few days would be great. Thanks for any recommendations in advance!!
