I am trying to impress a girl, with a mix-tape. This is my second try since she failed to see the romance in Punks in the Beerlight and I Will Dare. She likes techno. Which I don't know nothing about. So I'd like some help, making a dance/techno mix-tape that spells romance with room for a plausible denial of any romantic feelings.

I am building a collection of music videos and currently, I have about 100 or so videos that range from rock to metal and etc, however, I am in desperate need for Euro-Trance videos in .mpg format from the likes of names such as Groove Coverage, Tomcraft, Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, and etc. Does anyone know if there are any download/torrent sites deticated to this genre? SpaceFilter: I know about space and cryosleep music to some degree. I listen to lots of interesting things at night, including ambient/space music, but I've yet to hear anything like sound effects in ST:TNG, etc. I don't want something "scary", if that makes any sense, or anything unpredictable. I also don't want obvious "white noise" - I am looking for ambient music with a definite positive or neutral tilt to it. I am also not overly interested in drone music... Any suggestions?

In trance/techno music, where does the following pattern come from: A major bass hit on the first beat of the measure, then doubling to the first and third beat a couple measures later, then every beat, then eighth notes, sixteenth notes - usually accompanied by a melodic glissando climbing octaves or a vocal loop stuttering - until it releases (usually to a short pause) and then plunges into the full bass loop (and usually the chorus). Where'd this come from? What/who was the first song or DJ to use it?
