Replace the Teen Titans!

My husband's two favorite cartoons, Teen Titans and Justice League, are not returning next season...what can he replace them with? Adult humor, dark themes, superheroes all good. He likes The Tick, but watches Cowboy Bebop on fast forward just for the action scenes.

Looking for 70Kids TV Show called Vegetable Soup. Basically, Sesame Street on Acid

I'm desperate here. I need to see an episode, any episode, of the old children's TV show called Vegetable Soup. A basket full of carrots and cauliflower to anyone who knows where to find video of this show, either on disc or online. Preferably online. Does anyone else remember this show? It was on in the mid-70's. I've looked on YouTube and other such sources, but there must be something I'm missing.

Anyone know a good HDTV installer in LA?

I set up my big screen and I think I did a good job. Only there's a lot of artifacting on the regular TV channels (not the HDTV). That may be as good as it's going to get with my DirectTV box but I'm not sure. Can you recommend a good guy at a reasonable price in LA to come take a look at it?

I've got direct TV. Name the best way to get it on my ipod.

My setup came with the R15 DVR that Direct TV makes. I want to get my DVR'd programs onto my ipod so I can watch them at the gym. Let me know what I have to do. Do I need to trade it for a standard Direct TV reciever and get a Tivo with Tivo to Go? Will that work with direct TV? Is there some sort of program that will work with my system and my XP laptop? Or is there something you can do to mod the R15? Is there a guy who hacks the boxes and lets you use the seemingly dead USB outputs? AND, if none of that works...should I ditch the ipod and get one of those PVP's that records videos and just set that up on TOP of my DVR? Or do they not work with satellite? I know, this is a lot. But any help would be appreciated.

Fix My HD-Out on My Graphics Card

I just bought a new graphics card. The only thing I need it to do is to output my computer display to a television. To this effect, the card has three output options: (1) RCA, (2) S-video, (3) HD (red, blue and green cord). The first two options work great. The third, which is the one I'm really jonesing for, doesn't. What appears on the TV through the HD-out is all wonky and strange -- I can sort of make out stuff, but just barely. Any ideas as to how to get this up and running? I'm on XP (Home Edition), and here is the TV I'm using.

Between a TV, a wall and a hard place

Turns out my dream of mounting my soon to be bought LCD TV into the wall is a no go, as the wall is directly over my fireplace and apparently THAT will cause damage to the cables. So I'm looking for the tallest thinnest credenza possible to mount it on. I'd build it myself, but a history of collapsed childhood treehouses seems to argue against that. Any ideas?

I can hear you, just barely hear you

I used to have one of those old VCRs where you had to tune each channel in by hand. It had a set of tiny little dials that let you scan the entire TV spectrum (and beyond?). When the cable wire was plugged in, I could tune in some bizzare things in the audio: rhythmic clicking, low pulses, and most interestingly, other people's phone calls. I assume I was picking up cordless phones, but how did this work? Did the cable system act as a giant antenna all over town? Has this phenomenon ever been documented anywhere?

Strange problem with half of my cable TV connections

Some strange problem with my cable TV. I was connecting a new Sylvania DVR/VCR unit in my bedroom. I used to have a Sony DVD/VCR in that same place and the cable reception used to be just fine. First thing I noticed after attaching the new unit is that the signal quality is very poor. But anyway then I come down to living room which has the Comcast's digital set top box connected to the wall outlet. I noticed there was no signal on TV and box was displaying a 'this channel would be available soon' message. Usually that means some kind of bad or no connection. Before I went up to the bedroom everything was running fine. Did plugging in the DVR/VCR unit blow the cable circuit ? [more inside]
