Here's my possibly false memory: the show is the X-Files (although maybe it's Millennium?) and the song is Cymande's "Dove." The song recurs, diegetically, several times in the episode, whenever something uncanny is happening, although only one character is aware of it. At one point, it comes over the PA system of a hospital, distant and phased-out sounding. Googling doesn't turn up anything, so I assume I must have some detail wrong. What am I remembering?
I need some help from the fans of TV’s Annie Oakley, Gail Davis. My mom sort of remembers a song that Davis sang either at the end of her shows or on a show. Sounds like a lullabye to me. The words are something like “Go to sleep baby, your mama and daddy love you very much.” Anyone know this song?
Self-referential song by Mason Williams or Smothers Brothers 60's 70's; lyrics about the song structure, ex: "this is the bridge, it takes you to the end of the song", verse, chorus, etc., all in appropriate places. Saw it performed on U.S. television in that era.
Can you name the song [29-second excerpt, 462k mp3] that's playing all too quietly in the background of a scene from season 2 episode 8 of Happy Endings?

Name that tune please :: PBS is great, and the songs in their promos are actually just as good. Currently running is a promo that ends with the words; "Be More ~ ThirteenHD" (this is PBS Thirteen's High-Def channel which they broadcast in NYC & possibly elsewhere?). The music which accompanies it is a piece that I'd classify as sort of a Blues/Rock/Jazz instrumental. My Question: Name that tune!?! [more inside]
