My tv has turquoise colored lines all over it, and also on top of menus. It just randomly did this, no lightning storm or anything. Any ideas?
Sharp Aquos LC-46D62U or LC-52D62U (Tv is mounted to wall and the manual is for both tv's. Not sure which one mine is.)

Does Tivo removing the IR output from series 3 machines upwards leave us screwed to use a cable box? Is there any way for a series 3/4 Tivo to control a digital cable box, and if not, what are our options?

Help me build my perfect home media machine. It must play blu-ray discs, browse the web, and stream HD video from internet sources. I have no interest in video games, and little interest in cable TV. Is this something I can buy? If this is something I must build myself, what kind of computing muscle will I need?

[Wii_Filter] Does it matter of HD component cables are first-party vs. third-party? I've hooked up my Wii to my 40 inch Sharp, and while I know the Wii isn't going to make any stunning graphical leaps with a change of cables, is it possible that using Nintendo's "official" component cable would produce a higher-quality picture?

I have an old G5 PowerPC Mac Mini that would be just right to repurpose as a DVR/HTPC.
But the weak onboard graphics are preventing joy. Is there a way I can offload the graphics processing workload to an auxillary device?

I subscribe to Comcast digital cable and I'm interested in getting some HD programming for my HDTV: the problem is that my cable box is not capable of supporting HD. I would like to get a new box that can transmit an HD signal to my TV, but I don't want to rent one. Can anyone tell me where to find out which boxes are supported and where best to buy one?

I just bought a
new graphics card. The only thing I need it to do is to output my computer display to a television. To this effect, the card has three output options: (1) RCA, (2) S-video, (3) HD (red, blue and green cord). The first two options work great. The third, which is the one I'm really jonesing for, doesn't. What appears on the TV through the HD-out is all wonky and strange -- I can sort of make out stuff, but just barely. Any ideas as to how to get this up and running? I'm on XP (Home Edition), and
here is the TV I'm using.
