Where might one find t-shirts that depart from the mass-produced style? Online, I have only come across
this and
this; I like their 1) hemless collars/bottoms/sleeves and 2) light/thin fabric.

I'm a big follower of bot
Shirt Woot and
Teefury, both are sites that showcase a new t-shirt design a day at around ~$10 a shirt with cheap or free shipping. I recently discovered the existence of
Ript Apparel, which is more or less similar to the previous sites. I feel that Woot and Teefury have both gotten a bit too nerd-pandering in recent years, and am interested in new sites. I'm not into T-Shirt Hell or Snorg Tees as they are often text-based designs and I'm not really into pithy jokes on my shirts.
Uneetee is more of what I'm looking for, but I'm not too thrilled about their prices.
Design By Humans with the daily $15 deal is more of what I'm looking for, though their designs may be a wee bit
too artsy, and suffer from the opposite of Woot shirts- their designs cover too much of the shirt.

I have a couple of EMS organic cotton graphic T-shirts like
these, and I love them. The material is a bit thinner and stretchier than most tees, but still feels very supple and high-quality. Also, the fit is really nice - I particularly like that they're not quite as long as most tees are these days. I'm starting to think about making some graphic tees of my own design, and I'm wondering if there's a way figure out where these come from and get them for my own to use.

Several years ago I saw commercials for a movie featuring Lili Taylor. In one scene, she was wearing a t-shirt that caught my eye. I managed to find it via Google, but I never bought it. Now, I want to know if still exists, so I can get it!

I'd like to print about 100 t-shirts. The trouble is that the art includes a large image that fills much of the front and wraps around the to about 4 inches on the back of the shirt. The local shop that was recommended to me can't handle a print this large but they say there are those who can.

A co-worker of mine is the librarian at the publishing house where I work. She found some librarian "career girl" novels on the net and showed them to me for a laugh. I suggested she take a cover image to a T-shirt shop and have a shirt made. She loved the idea and is going to do it
with this image, and put the hilarious excerpt from the book on the back. Now I'm jealous and want a similar shirt that relates to my job. I'm an editor. I doubt they had "career girl" pulp novels about editing back in the day, so what equally cool/kitschy images could I put on my front that relate to editing?

I’ll be launching a new t-shirt site over the next several months and am looking for insight into what makes a good shirt (our fearless leader, for example,
likes American Apparel shirts and the designs from
Protoculture,
nerdnyc and
glarkware). So what do you look for? Comfort (cotton? cotton-poly blends?)? Funny or clever slogans (you bet your ass there’s a difference between funny and clever (and witty, too))? Artistic value? Originality? Retro styling (or do you think retro's going back to the grave)? What’s your favorite t-shirt? Where and how did you find the shirt/seller?
Please don't get all riled up about "self-linking": I emailed #1 twice for an OK and got no response and of course am not including any link (here or in my profile).
