	<title>Dairy Spoilage Question, or should I Mooooove on?</title>

	<description>There&apos;s a recipe I love doing - chocolate eclair cake - it&apos;s pretty much graham crackers, frozen whipped topping mixed with prepared (with milk) instant pudding mix, and the chocolate top is cocoa, sugar, a little bit of milk, and butter.  This weekend, I&apos;ll be taking an 8 hour train to NYC, then have about another 3 hours to kill, then I&apos;ll be at a fridge for the night, then the next day, I&apos;ll be walking around NYC for about 8 hours, and then delivered to the house of the person the cake is for, with another fridge.  So aside from the pain in the ass of carrying it around... am I risking major major dairy spoilage?  I&apos;ve left this cake sitting out on a table at work all day, but this seems a bit different.  Thank you!</description>

	<title>water water everywhere! </title>

	<description>Is &quot;old&quot; water safe to drink? I have no problem leaving a cup of water on my bedside table for a straight week and drinking out of it. I&apos;ll also drink out of a (previously opened) water bottle that&apos;s been rolling around on the floor of the car for days. SO doesn&apos;t even like to drink water left out over night, and has a half-dozen half-empty water bottles in his floorboards. I argue that water doesn&apos;t &quot;go bad&quot; or &quot;spoil&quot; under normal circumstances. SO claims this is &quot;gross!&quot;&lt;br&gt;

	<title>Tell me I&apos;ll die, so I can throw it away.</title>

	<description>I bought a Value Pack of chicken thighs at Safeway, like the frugal shopper I am... and then promptly left them on the kitchen counter for 3 hours, like the absent-minded bumbler I am.

Scenario: cold chicken, fairly cold kitchen (maybe 65, as the heat hadn&apos;t been on all day), sealed package, November 2nd expiration date.

I am assuming I just screwed up and wasted $9 worth of chickeny goodness. Am I right?</description>

	<title>Are these eggs safe to eat?</title>

	<description>Should-I-Eat-This-Filter: I left a half-dozen eggs on the counter yesterday... They were uncooked, still in their shells, out of direct sunlight. I&apos;d estimate the kitchen was about 70 degrees. They were there from 8am-7pm. When I came home and found them still out, I popped them back in the fridge. The eggs are from our CSA, so they&apos;re organic, free-range, etc.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
I did a bit of research, and from what I understand, salmonella is only a risk if there&apos;s already salmonella bacteria in the egg. To be on the safe side, my pregnant wife won&apos;t be eating any of these. Are they okay for me to eat? What factors contribute to eggs going bad? is it time, temperature, or a combination? I understand that the safest course of action is just tossing them, but I hate to waste food.&lt;br&gt;

Think itll still be good when I get home tonight? Pork fried rice.  Hot and Sour soup (with beef).   My kitchen is likely to hit the mid-to-high 80&apos;s for several hours today. 	<description>I left my cheese out overnight. Is it still okay to eat?  After yesterday&apos;s pizza, I neglected to return the cheese to the fridge. This includes a mozzarella block, loosely wrapped in plastic with an exposed end, a block of parmesean (same wrap situation), and a tub of fresh mozzarella in olivine. It was left out for approxamately 20 hours. Is any of it recoverable for tonight&apos;s pizza?</description>
