Can you guess what's biting me?
I've been getting a few extremely itchy red bumps, very much like mosquito bites, but they are not mosquito bites because they follow the pattern that chigger bites do: they're not on exposed parts of my skin, but instead under my clothing. It seems that something small is leaping onto me and then crawling until it finds itself confined by clothing, then settling down to bite. The bites aren't like chigger bites, though.

Found this guy while cleaning out my shop, and, for the Pacific NW, it was a fairly impressive beast. I'd say, across the legs, it was roughly the size of a 50 cent piece.

My dad tells this story about a very, very weird "spider bite" he got as a kid, but it doesn't sound like any spider bite -- ever. What could this have been? Alien implant? Ringworm? Disgusting details inside.

I've had two weird similar incidents that appear to be
bug bites/stings. I have lived in Minnesota all my life, including in the far northern rural area, and never had anything like these. You are not my doctor, but maybe you've had similar issues and have an idea of what is biting/stinging me?

Over the past week or so we've had an influx of spiders, mostly in the second floor of our house. As near as I can tell, they're comprised of daddy long legs and
[ARACHNOPHOBE TRIGGER WARNING] these guys. I was hoping some of the more knowledgeable among you could help me identify this species and advise whether we should seek professional help. I'm also curious if anyone has any tips on how to minimize the spider population indoors (unfortunately, peaceful coexistence is not an option due to the feelings of some members of the household).

Who is the screaming woman in the
Samsung Infuse 4G commercial? The commercial features two men and a woman. The red-headed woman mistakes the image of a spider on the phone for the real thing and completely, utterly, totally freaks out. Her blood-curdling screams are fantastic. She looks a lot like Karen Gillan, but I really doubt Ms. Gillan has time to duck out on the doctor to shoot commercials.

ArachnidFilter: What kind of spider is this
fairly large, long, orangey spider that my friends found in their hotel room on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina? It's kind of blurry, and there's not much in the picture for help with scale (it's on the edge of a roll of toiletpaper), but I have faith in you hivemind!
