I'm looking for a personal recommendation (i.e. not a yelp listing) for a great adult dentist in the near west burbs of Chicago or even the southwest burbs. So anywhere from Oak Park to Oakbrook and south to Tinley Park. Important: weekend hours, experience, knowledgeable staff, a dentist who won't scold or up-sell. Not important: flat screen television, high tech equipment.

Help me plan a long-weekend getaway in the Southwest. I don't have enough time to make it a road trip, but would like to drive down some scenic roads. I don't want to camp in the wilderness, but would like see a national park. I don't want a full native-american experience, but would love to buy some native american jewelry. Some shopping/dining would be cool. I want to take more photographs than I'll ever have time to upload to flickr.

I'm interested in hiring an illustrator to turn a recently completed screenplay into a graphic novel. Any ideas/resources I can use to create a budget for such a project? I'm looking to come up with a ballpark figure which can be fine-tuned later. Where do I start? The story is set in Los Angeles and the desert Southwest. Any suggestions regarding potential illustrators from that part of the world would be appreciated.

What goodies do we need from Phoenix, AZ? Husband is going there for a few days in July, and we're trying to think of what treats he ought to bring back to New England - stuff we can't find here at home. Cactus Cooler soda and prickly pear jelly/candy are all I can think of. See's Candies would be wonderful, but would not travel well. Any other regional favorites? Thanks in advance!

Last minute trip down to New Mexico came out of no where but I'm leaving tomorrow with a backpack and wanted to know what one could do for a couple weeks. I don't even have enough time to grab a guidebook and my only plans so far are to read The Border Trilogy. The ride is stopping overnight somewhere Utah then finally in Taos. I've got little money to spend regardless, what should I see and do here? I'm looking for a relaxed, unique, authentic Southwest American experience.
