What are good movies about or made in post-apartheid South Africa? Assume I've seen the ones that have had moderate success in the US, like District 9, Tsotsi, and Invictus.

We were cleaning up out back for a cookout, and I spotted
this little guy. Does anyone know what kind of snake this is? My guess was that it was not poisonous based on the head shape, but I don't know if that rule applies to baby snakes as well. More inside.

Can't take the cold Northeast and wonder if Charleston would work? My husband and I recently moved from Los Angeles to the Eastern shore of Ct. for a variety of reasons mainly cost of living and seeking a closer knit community. Now that we have experienced a cold winter ( it's just starting!) we see that it isn't for us. Weather is a big deal and we thought we could handle it but the being stuck indoors, the layers of clothes, the desire to hibernate are all getting to us pretty quick.

Help me find my hibernation spot! NYCer in search of a winter (roughly Dec/Jan -> March/April) apartment somewhere in the Deep South in a city that A) has much warmer weather; B) offers drastically cheaper rent; and C) is a small town (basically, anywhere that isn't a big city). And, once I have a few city/region options, what's the best methodology for finding a place to rent if there aren't active Craigslist listings for the city/region? Details:

I want to travel, one way I have heard to do this is through organizations such as FEMA and the red cross. I am graduating with a Bachelors in English in 3 weeks and am 24 years old. There are no entry level jobs that I saw available on their websites, am I doing something wrong? Does anyone know where I can find entry level positions?
I had thought about teaching English in a Spanish speaking country, does anyone know of some reputable programs for someone wish bare-bones Spanish knowledge looking to improve?

I live in TN, in a city that doesn't offer very good mass transit, everything is spread out and I have to drive everywhere. I would love to live in a neighborhood designed for people who want to walk to the local grocery, book store, park. Not just a neighborhood that may offer a coffee house, but a true walking neighborhood, and I need to stay in this part of the South... Is there anywhere in TN or AR like that? (Nashville to west TN and central to east AR).

Due to very busy schedules, the earliest time we can take a vacation this year is the second half of October. We originally planned to go to Turkey, but Lonely Planet says that Cappadocia basically shuts down due to cold in mid October. So is that true, and if so, what other similar places would you suggest for a week at that time of year, in Europe? A little culture would be nice, since the rest of the tip will be spent in the Greek isles.
