I have a 1G iPod Nano with 4 gigs of space. I'd like to play a sample in a continuous loop in order to get a constant stream of white noise, without breaks/gaps/clicks and taking up as little space on the iPod as possible. Is this doable and if so, how?

TV show episodes ripped to iPod via Handbrake (aka MediaFork) are dropping audio 3/4 of the way into the file. Arrrrrgh! Has anyone found a reliable way of overcoming it? Or do you have a better program to recommend? [more inside]

My second-generation iPod nano sometimes seems to lose right-channel sound, on any pair of ear buds, headphones, or speakers; only pushing the jack "up" towards the front restores the right channel, and even then only temporarily. I want to get a decent stereo system in my car (an Isuzu Rodeo). Nothing too fancy, but decent. I got to thinking: could I just stick the iPod Hi-Fi in my back seat? How would that sound? Any ideas on positioning, or mounting? Also, is this the lamest idea ever?

I've got a similar situation to the American Idol runner-up: My right ear is fully functional, but I am 90% deaf on my left ear. However, my left ear was deformed at birth, so my earbuds don't fit in it. [more inside]

I want to buy some speakers for an Ipod. Altec Lansing and Bose have both made speaker sets that use the docking port, so that's kind of cool, but are the speakers worth it? The Bose ones in particular are $300, which seems really high. Anyone have any experience with these? Or is it just better to buy some regular powered speakers and plug them into the earphone jack?

What set of wireless headphones should I buy? Bonus points if it's feasible to carry the transmitter in my pocket for use with my iPod. [more inside]
