San Francisco financial district - where is a good indoor place to work for a few hours? My wife has a few hours tomorrow morning to kill before a meeting. She needs wifi, and the place should be generally quiet but still allow for occasional phone call (i.e. no library). Would prefer this not be a crowded coffee shop (i.e. no Starbucks or Peet's).

I'm a recent college graduate and long time depression sufferer. Now I've suddenly been cast out into the "real world" with no directed day-to-day course of action and I'm feeling lost and needing help. Currently near by the San Francisco Bay Area, I'm needing to settle down soon to make some money and also receive the mental health care that I believe I need. The problem is that I'm totally broke. Any practical advice on breaking a stubborn depression when you're not made of money would be sincerely appreciated.

I need a hotel for 2 nights in San Francisco (10/31 & 11/1) next week. I'd like to be in the Fisherman's Wharf or Marina area, but Chinatown/Union Square area is OK if I can't find a hotel in the FW/M area. Ideally I'd like a room for $100 or less. I've checked the main travel sites, but the lists are overwhelming. It'll be 3 ladies, so cleaner, newer is best. I don't mind independent, older hotels as long as they're clean. Any suggestions or recommendations?

So I've lived in beautiful San Francisco, California since 2005, but I've recently started a job down in Sunnyvale. I can take Caltrain down there, but it's an hour's trip plus half an hour on either end to get from home/work to the Caltrain station in question. This is not sustainable, so I'd like to move south. I'm 31, single, and a city boy from way back, so moving to The Suburbs gives me pause. Also, I sold the only car I've ever owned back in '05 shortly after I moved here. So I have two questions:

I am helping to plan a trip to San Francisco in September for a doctor from Kenya, for a conference. All the cheaper hotel rooms bought in a block by the conference organizers are taken. Where can he stay relatively cheaply that's not too far from (or too complicated to travel to) the Moscone Center?

I would like to take a graduate level class or two this Fall in San Francisco. I have a job, so I'd like my classes to be in the evenings and on weekends. I don't really care about getting credit or a degree, and I realize I'm far too late for formal Fall admissions. What kind of educational options exist for me?

Please help identify a song, or a band that played it - lyrics are below. It was on a now long-dead mixtape made in the mid-90s by a San Francisco resident, so I've always thought it was a San Francisco or Northern CA band, but could be wrong. The singer was female, an alto, IIRC, devoid of vibrato; the band had a pair of violins and a couple of acoustic guitars and employed different tempos within this song. The lyrical focus was ecology.
