Google insists on gobbling screen space by displaying a stack of "Related searches" at the bottom of every search results page (Safari, iPad Pro). How do I disable this? All "Suggestions" entries in Settings->Safari are turned off. I don't see anything useful in Google's search settings.
Hi all, Two days ago I read about an extension for Safari that I wanted to install. Long story short, I did not install it at the time and now I can't find my way back to it! (Yes, I've been through my browser history.) Plus I've looked all over the web and can't find it again for the life of me.) Here are the details... [more inside]

About four days ago, my iPad stopped showing images in web pages--there's either a grayed out box where they should be or they're just missing. All the text loads fine, it really just looks like image resources are deciding not to load. This happens in Safari, and in Safari view controller views like Tweetbot (so it's Webkit-wide?) Force quit Safari, restarted, still broken. Upgraded it from 9.2 to 9.3.1 this morning, and same thing. Did I toggle some setting inadvertently? Or is this a bug, and if so, how do I fix it?
My iPad mini is creaking but still useful. However, Safari crashes often (I've noticed it when browsing news sites like independent.co.uk in particular). Have you got any tips for improvements, things I need to check or change in settings or other management? Cheers!

I have a 15 gig iPhone of the previous generation, and the Safari web browser has had some interesting quirks of late. When I've left websites with logins unattended for more than, say, thirty seconds, I automatically get logged out (even when I've clicked the "keep me logged in" box on the login page). More recently, the cache has "forgotten" the URLs for websites I frequent. I've set "never" to the Block Cookies option in settings. What can I do to get Safari to keep me logged in and to cache/remember the sites I visit?

Are there any good solutions for Safari and/or Chrome to manage bookmarks? [more inside]
When I try to go to any Facebook page inside Safari 6.0.3 (running on OSX 10.8.3) I get this error message: Safari can't open the page "https://www.facebook.com/" because Safari can't establish a secure connection to the server "www.facebook.com". [more inside]
I want to make Duck Duck Go my default search engine (YOU KNOW WHY) in the same bar on my Safari that currently I can put the url or Google search in (I want it to use DDG instead of Google, or have a separate bar for DDG). [more inside]
I am on a mac, and reluctantly use Firefox right now for some of my work. Firefox on the mac has become so slow and boggy, it is painful to work on. However, I download a lot of jpegs from webpages, and in Firefox, you can have the file automatically open with one click in Photoshop (or any other software), without having to download, go to the finder, and so forth. Is that feature available in either Chrome or Safari? I have done some googling, but can't seem to find anything.
Can Safari warn me before opening multiple tabs? [more inside]
I've been using Chrome on my Mac and Safari on my iPad Air. Trying to get them both to sync with each other is a challenge. I used a Safari on Mac for a short while recently to keep the two perfectly in sync but I've since switched back to a Chrome on my Mac as it is just a quicker and nicer to use browser. On my iPad Air I've installed Chrome but nothing beats Safari on the iPad as it's smoother and uses a faster rendering engine. Chrome on iOS is a bit sluggish and doesn't feel comfortable to use. Is there a way that I can sync my Chrome bookmarks and settings on my Mac with Safari on my iPad?
I want the forward/back controls in my browser on iPad to be at the bottom of the screen, same as they are on my iPhone. I don't see any way to do this in Safari or Chrome. My thumb insists on doing it the iPhone way (and quite logically because that's where my thumb already is while holding the device). It is driving me crazy. Please tell me there's a way.
Last week, I started getting errors whenever I tried to access the NASA Technical Reports Server from Chrome. And after a few days of it working just fine in Safari, it started doing the damn thing in that browser as well. What's going on here? [more inside]

I'm all ready to upgrade to Mavericks (OSX 10.9) except for one thing. On Snow Leopard (10.6.8), I am able to open Safari's "Activity window" and see most video files as they're loading there (however, not certain sites like Hulu). From that window, it's an easy Option-Click to download said video file. Safari 7.0 doesn't have this ability. Is there a Safari 7.0 add-on or something that will bring this ability back to Safari? A few days ago syncing my iPod Touch with iTunes deleted all but its original apps (My fault for not noticing that the list of apps in iTunes had, for some reason, reverted to the factory defaults). While slowly restoring my purchased apps via the App Store App>Updates>Purchased, I noticed that ad-supported Instapaper was no longer listed. Googling 'Instapaper Free' told me that the ad-supported version was removed from iTunes and support discontinued sometime in April of this year. This has led me to several questions: [more inside]
