The more I work out, the more I realize that nutrition has a huge impact on my energy. When is the best time to eat various foods during the day so I have the most energy when I get to the gym at 5:30 p.m.? And how can I meet my nutritional needs, given that I'm a vegetarian who likes less-processed foods but doesn't have a lot of time for cooking (and can't handle eating beans every day)? I feel like I need a lot more protein all of a sudden. [more inside]

I just bought a Garmin Forerunner 205. I love it, it's neat, wow, awesome. But I use an Apple and the software isn't compatible. Can someone walk me through how I can get my PowerBook to recognize the unit (and download the data) when I plug it in via USB and if there are any programs I can use that are similar to the "Training Center" software included?

I've been working out four times a week all year, and now I think I should at least know how to run. I have a horror of running left over from being the slow kid, and I don't really know how to do it. I started the couch to 5k today. Should I stick with it, or just do something else? [more inside]

I need to start running again, but I haven't done it for almost half a year. In that time, I've gained a few pounds, and the last time I tried running after such a long delay, my right knee was in pain for months. How do I rebuild strength in my knees and when can I start running again?

Marathonfilter. In about 3 weeks I'll be doing the P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll marathon in Phoenix. This will be my first marathon... and while I'm not really that concerned about my time as long as I make it across the finish line, is there anything else a person can do in the final weeks to prepare?
