How to get TV to show a color picture

We bought an used Insignia TV and hooked it up to our comcast cable box. Unfortunately, we can get a picture but it is only in black and white. I've taken the cables in the back and moved them around and the only result I can get is in one of the inputs there is a small amount of color that shows on the screen that correlates to sound vibrations. I've used the remote to turn up the color and it has no effect. What can I do to fix this?

80s nature show theme?

I have fond childhood memories of the theme song from a 1980s nature show, but have been unable to find it anywhere on the internet. The main melody was played by a sort of synthesized oboe, with an odd synthesized rhythm of pops and clicks in the background, and the accompanying visuals were trippy, red-and-orange footage of various animals. I've recreated (badly) the main melody from the title sequence here. Can anyone tell me what show this is from, and point me to a recording of the original tune? Thanks!

How do I order a power adapter from China?

Several years ago we bought a small HD tv manufactured in China, from e-bay. The power adapter plug, the end that inserts into the tv, is now physically broken, beyond repair. How can I find a Dajing DJ-U485-12? Google search turns it up, from various Chinese companies, and translates the pages for me, but when I email I am directed to "Globalsources.com," apparently a brokerage firm. I registered with them but haven't heard from any Chinese companies regarding the adapter. I have tried to buy it in the US but can't find any sources here. Any ideas would be much appreciated! Thanks, metafilter contributors.
